Customization Tips

What This Tool Does

How To Use It

Pick a width and height that fits the spot on your page where you want the calculator. Copy the generated iframe code from the embed panel above. Paste that snippet into your site's HTML — anywhere a regular paragraph or image could go. The calculator loads instantly from FriendlyCalc.com and works on any modern browser, including mobile. Because it's served as an iframe, your visitors get the live, up-to-date version automatically — you never need to re-paste or update anything when we improve the calculator.

Quick Questions

Is the embedded calculator free to use?

Yes. There's no fee, no account, no API key. You can embed it on as many pages as you like, including commercial sites. We just ask that you don't strip the small "FriendlyCalc" attribution at the bottom of the calculator.

Will it slow down my page?

The iframe loads asynchronously and weighs less than 30 KB. It won't affect your Lighthouse score or Core Web Vitals as long as you give it explicit width and height attributes (which prevents layout shift).

Can I customize the colors or styling?

Not yet — the embed uses FriendlyCalc's default theme. Let us know if you'd like a customizable version (light/dark/branded) and we'll prioritize it. For now, you can wrap the iframe in your own styled container to match your page.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The calculator is fully responsive. As long as your container element is responsive (use percent widths or CSS clamp), the embed will scale appropriately on phones and tablets.

Can I use this on a school or educational site?

Absolutely — that's one of the most common use cases. The 4-function calculator is appropriate for elementary through high school math. For more advanced needs (scientific functions, graphing), link to the dedicated calculator pages on FriendlyCalc instead.
